WILLEM BEZUIDENHOUT

Willem initially qualified as a pharmacist at the UNW (former PU for CHE). Upon completing his community service as a pharmacist in the SANDF 3 Military Hospital TEMPE Military Base Bloemfontien, he simultaneously obtained his LL.B degree from the University of the Free State. He subsequently qualified as an attorney and was thereafter called to the Bar in 2010.

He has a general practice with civil and criminal exposure. Areas of focus include:
Civil: Medical Negligence / Malpractice; Medical Regulatory Affairs (HPSCA, SAPC, SAMA, MCC etc.); Medical Schemes, Mental Health & Curators; Insolvency and general commercial litigation; Intellectual Property with a medical focus.
Criminal: Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act; Medicine and Related Substances Act; Medical evidence assessment in assaults, rape, murder etc.
